WHO WE ARE

The Rensselyrics are Rensselaer’s oldest existing, all-gender a cappella group. Originally founded as the Rensselaer Glee Club where we sang traditional RPI songs and four-part TTBB harmonies, we have since grown to sing everything from old classics like Billy Joel and Queen, to new favorites like Adele and Ariana Grande.

We perform frequently at campus events, such as Alumni Weekend, Grand Marshall Week, sports games, and extend our reach into the Greater NY Area performing at local venues such as the Troy Farmers Market, Victorian Stroll, the Paine Castle, and at other collegiate invitationals. Over the years, we have also competed at ICCA, the Rome Free Collegiate Invitational, and Thruway Invitational where we have won numerous awards including Gold/1st Place ranking, best arrangement, and best vocal percussion.

As a family of musicians who love to make music, we are the only group on campus to be self-arranged, recorded, and produced. Each semester, we take pride in recording our songs and have recently included our alumni members in our recording during our Annual Alumni Rehearsal. Our first ever self-produced album, ECLIPSE, is available anywhere you stream music, and stay tuned for our newest album VERTIGO coming in AUGUST 2025!
